Demitrius Campbell threw for a 34-yard TD and ran for a 2-yard score as the Knights held off the Blue Devils. Campbell finished 10 for 14 for 150 yards and an interception for Thomas Dale (2-0 Central, 3-2), Mike Edmunds (12 carries, 74 yards) ran for scores of 9 and 2 yards, and Brandon Burton made six catches for 100 yards.

Jaylen Reeves put Hopewell (0-2, 1-4) on the board with a 2-yard run in the first quarter, and Quantae Gholson connected with Trashaun Smith on a 7-yard touchdown.
