Football: James River 23, Manchester 16

Conlan Cassidy's eight tackles and three deflections, and Zac Blackwell's five tackles and two sacks helped unranked James River hold No. 8 Manchester to 16 points as the Rapids (2-2, 3-2) upset the Lancers (2-1, 3-2).

James River's Jessie Wells blocked a punt on the Manchester 26-yard-line to set up the Rapids' third score, a 1-yard TD run by twin brother Josh.

Kevon White added 68 yards on 18 carries for James River, and Calvin Jefferson hauled in three catches for 62 yards and a TD.

Brandon Chiles ran for 156 yards on 23 attempts, and Steven White passed for 137 yards on 12 completions to lead Manchester.
