Football: Monacan 35, George Wythe 0

Logan Staib hooked up with Kevin Walker for two touchdown passes and the defense did the rest for the Chiefs in a win over the Bulldogs in each team's Dominion District opener.

Staib finished 5 for 6 for 116 yards. Doug Brown led the Monacan (1-0) ground attack with 84 yards and two touchdowns.

Kevork Ozbalik had eight tackles to lead a Chiefs defense that held George Wythe (0-1) to 91 yards.
