Football: Midlothian 30, Armstrong 14

Jimmy Whitten threw two touchdown passes and the Trojans defeated the Wildcats in a nondistrict matchup.

Whitten finished 4 for 5 for 44 yards, Nate Hines made 23 carries for 106 yards and a TD and Mitchell Perierra had 20 carries for 146 yards for Midlothian (1-5).

Malcolm Cook paced Armstrong (1-5) with 9 carries for 76 yards and a score. He also was 4 for 11 for 83 yards and a touchdown. Tyee Williams carried nine times for 54 yards, and caught a 51-yard TD pass from Cook.
