McGee propels Cougars

ALEXANDRIA -- Jake McGee completed 25 of 36 passes for 281 yards and three touchdowns to lead Collegiate to a 23-7 victory over Episcopal yesterday.

McGee connected with Alex Newsome on scores of 5 and 10 yards and with Russell Harper on a 2-yard TD. Newsome had 10 receptions for 113 yards, and Harper made five catches for 55 yards for the Cougars (4-0).

Lee Peaseley paced the Collegiate defense with two interceptions.

Hunter deButts threw a 10-yard touchdown pass for Episcopal (1-2).

CHARLOTTESVILLE -- Rob Vozenilek ran for two short touchdowns to lead St. Christopher's over St. Anne's-Belfield.

Rob Vozenilek scored on runs of 1 and 4 yards, and Alec Vozenilek made each extra-point attempt and a 41-yard field goal for St. Christopher's (3-2). Miles Jackson finished with seven carries for 37 yards and a TD, and Brody Hingst ran in a 4-yard score.

FLINT HILL --M R.J. Price rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown, and returned a punt 47 yards as Benedictine shut out Flint Hill (0-4).

Price ran for a 5-yard score for the Cadets (4-2), who totaled 332 yards. Clayton Navarre rushed for 84 yards, including a 4-yard TD, and Luke Snead returned an interception 57 yards for a touchdown.

Entering the game, Maret had outscored opponents 116-0, but Christchurch allowed only 41 rushing yards and 122 yards through the air -- 80 on Walter Simmons' pass to Jake Genachowski for a TD.
