VHSL quarterfinals: Top bracket, Princess Anne at E.C. Glass; Deep Run vs. Thomas Jefferson-Science & Technology at Mason District Park (Annandale), 11 a.m.; Lower bracket, Albemarle at Frank Cox; James Robinson at Mills Godwin, 2:30 p.m.
Semifinals: Friday at Huntington Park, Newport News, noon.
Final: Saturday at Huntington Park, noon
Match to see: Robinson and Mills Godwin meet in the state tournament for the fourth year in a row. The Rams beat the Eagles in the 2006 final, the 2007 semifinals and in last year's thrilling final.
Match to see Part II: Deep Run is in the state tournament for the second year in a row. Deep Run beat MG during the regular season. TJ ended Robinson's run of Northern Region titles.
Outlook: Mills Godwin, Deep Run, TJ and Robinson are the best four teams. The state champion is likely to be one of the winners from their matches today.
