Ryan Newman is second, followed by Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin and Martin Truex Jr. Denny Hamlin had misfortune on a lap 274 pit stop when his crew had trouble putting back on the lug nuts on his right-front tire. Hamlin had entered the pits leading. He left running in eighth.
