A green-yellow start means the laps count, but the cars are under caution. The track was still a little wet after a recent rain shower, so the cars took to the track to help dry it.
Brian Vickers started on the pole with Jeff Gordon second and former Chesterfield resident Denny Hamlin third.
The race is scheduled for 400 laps. The drivers need to complete 201 laps for the race to be considered official. Scattered thunderstorms are forecast for the evening.
