French beat Greinke in just his second career start, holding the Royals to one run and six hits in 61/3 innings. Fernando Rodney pitched the ninth for his 19th save in as many tries. NATIONAL LEAGUE ROUNDUPASTROS 5, PIRATES 0: Wandy Rodriguez pitched a five-hitter and tied a career high by striking out 11, leading Houston over Pittsburgh. Rodriguez threw his second career complete game and won his third straight decision. The lefty is only one victory behind his total from last season. BRAVES 4, CUBS 1: Kenshin Kawakami shut down Chicago for six innings and Yunel Escobar made a run-saving defensive play in the eighth, helping preserve Atlanta's victory. Casey Kotchman homered for the Braves, who won a road series for the first time in nearly two months. MARLINS 7, GIANTS 0: Chris Volstad pitched a five-hitter for his first career complete game, Dan Uggla hit a three-run homer and Florida beat San Francisco. Volstad struck out six and didn't walk a batter to win for the second time in eight starts, finishing the game with 105 pitches. ROCKIES 10, NATIONALS 4: Jorge De La Rosa pitched effectively into the seventh, Ryan Spilborghs hit a bases-loaded triple to key a four-run fifth and Colorado beat Washington. Troy Tulowitzki had a two-run homer among his three hits and Carlos Gonzalez added three hits for Colorado. DIAMONDBACKS 6, PADRES 2: Felipe Lopez hit a three-run homer to cap a five-run rally in the eighth, Max Scherzer pitched seven sharp innings and Arizona defeated San Diego.
