WHITE SOX 8, TIGERS 4: Carlos Quentin hit a three-run homer in his second straight game, rookie Daniel Hudson (1-1, Old Dominion) earned his first major-league victory and Chicago beat Detroit for its third win in 11 games. ROYALS 4, TWINS 1: Zack Greinke worked out of several jams in seven innings to bolster his AL Cy Young Award chances and Yuniesky Betancourt hit a three-run homer, helping Kansas City win its home finale. RAYS 7, RANGERS 6: Fernando Perez drove home the go-ahead run with a squeeze bunt in the ninth inning for Tampa Bay, which overcame a six-run deficit to beat Texas, spoiling the Rangers' home finale. ANGELS 7, ATHLETICS 4: Kendry Morales homered and drove in three runs, and Los Angeles snapped its first four-game losing streak of the season with a victory over Oakland. Morales had three hits and Mike Napoli also homered for the Angels. INDIANS 9, ORIOLES 0: Kelly Shoppach hit a three-run homer, David Huff pitched eight innings and Cleveland beat to extend the Orioles' skid to 10 games. The Orioles have scored 29 runs during the streak. BLUE JAYS 5, MARINERS 4: Pinch-hitter Adam Lind had a tying RBI single in the eighth inning and Rod Barajas followed with a go-ahead double, helping Toronto rally for a victory over Seattle. ROCKIES 4, CARDINALS 3: Second baseman Clint Barmes made a diving catch to start a game-ending double play, preserving Colorado's victory. The Rockies stayed 2½ games ahead of Atlanta in the NL wild card race. BRAVES 6, NATIONALS 3: Atlanta scored three runs in the 10th inning, completing a three-game sweep. Brian McCann drove in a run with a groundout, and Omar Infante followed with a two-run single as the Braves ran their winning streak to six. PIRATES 6, DODGERS 5: Right fielder Andre Ethier misplayed Lastings Milledge's two-run single for an error that allowed the winning run to score, and Pittsburgh rallied for four in the ninth to prevent Los Angeles from clinching the NL West title. GIANTS 5, CUBS 1: Matt Cain pitched eight scoreless innings and Eli Whiteside had a pair of RBI doubles to lead San Francisco. Eugenio Velez, Juan Uribe and Pablo Sandoval each had two hits and drove in a run for the Giants. METS 4, MARLINS 4: Pat Misch pitched an eight-hitter for the first complete game of his career, and New York spoiled Florida's home finale. Jeff Francoeur and Anderson Hernandez homered for the Mets. PHILLIES 6, BREWERS 5: Jimmy Rollins hit his 21st homer, Ryan Howard tied Prince Fielder for the major-league RBI lead and Philadelphia took another step toward clinching the NL East title by cutting its magic number to three. ASTROS 3, REDS 2: Wandy Rodriguez pitched six solid innings, Humberto Quintero homered and Houston ended Cincinnati's six-game winning streak. Rodriguez (14-11) allowed two runs and nine hits. DIAMONDBACKS 7, PADRES 4: Augie Ojeda had three hits and drove in three runs to lead Arizona.
