USTA to be in Charlottesville

The date is fast approaching and the field is set for the Virginia National Bank Men's Professional Championship, set for Oct. 31-Nov. 8 at the Boar's Head Sports Club.

Former Virginia star Somdev Devvarman, the NCAA men's singles champion in 2007 and 2008, will return to Charlottesville for the tournament. Devvarman, ranked No. 124 in the world, has two Futures titles as a professional and reached the final of the ATP Chennai Open.

No. 95 Kevin Kim is the highest-ranked player in the field and will be joined by fellow top 200 players Taylor Dent, Brendan Evans, Kevin Anderson, Alex Bogomolv and Donald Young.

Admission is free for qualifying matches Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. Tickets for main draw play cost $7 ($5 for Boar's Head members). Tickets may be purchased at the Boar's Head Sports Club front desk.
