Springers top No. 9 Falcons

Shandell Taylor had 19 points and seven assists, and Kyra Coleman had 16 points, 10 rebounds and four steals as Highland Springs surprised Huguenot with a 56-44 nondistrict win last night.


Ty Jefferies scored 10 points, Qunisha Cannon pulled down 11 boards, and Dashan Ross added nine rebounds and four blocks for the Springers.


Marcia Bogan tallied 11 points and Evan Harris had 10 for the Falcons, ranked ninth in the Times-Dispatch Top 10.
