WHAT: USL-2 professional soccer match
WHEN/WHERE: Today at 6 p.m., National Stadium in Devinshire, Bermuda
NOTABLE: Suddenly, a trip to Bermuda no longer suggests a holiday. The Hogges, winners of only five matches a year ago and losers twice to Richmond by lopsided scores, delivered the young season's most startling upset last weekend: a 2-1 home-field victory over the capable Harrisburg City Islanders. Bermuda (1-2-0) stung the Islanders with second-half goals by Damico Coddington and Antwan Russell. . . . Richmond (1-0-2) should be able to win this match if it defends the way it is capable. The Kickers have permitted only one goal in their past two outings. Goalkeeper Ronnie Pascale was named to the USL-2 team of the week after making six saves in last week's 2-0 road win over Western Mass. Cited, too, were defender Yomby William and midfielder David Bulow. . . . The Kickers will play Bermuda's U-23 National Team tomorrow before returning to the mainland. Richmond returns to UR Stadium on May 15, when it plays host to the Charlotte Eagles.
