Mike Gbinije scored 27 points, had six rebounds, eight steals and four assists to help power No. 2 Benedictine over Cathedral 78- 50 in the opening round of the Capital City Classic on Monday night.
Jordan Burgess added 20 points and 14 rebounds for the Cadets (9-2). Martin Wilson came off of the bench to score all of his seven points in the second half.
Steven Daly led Cathedral with 14.
