WHAT: USL-2 soccer match WHEN/WHERE: Today, 7 p.m., University of Richmond Stadium TICKETS: $12 adult, $7 youth NOTABLE: The Kickers (1-1-2) return to University of Richmond Stadium after collecting four points in last weekend's two-game swing through Maryland and Pennsylvania. Tonight's game is a rematch of last Saturday's contest, won 1-0 by the Kickers. Richmond forward Matthew Delicate, the USL-2 player of the week, scored the contest's only goal in the 78th minute. Fortune smiled upon Richmond to some extent in that game. Two dangerous Real Maryland shots caromed off the goal frame in the second half. . . . Delicate (four goals) is the only Kicker to have scored in 2010 and the only USL-2 player to have scored more than once. . . . Real Maryland (1-2-1) is a strong defensive club that has allowed but two goals in its first four matches. Goalkeeper Brian Levey has logged 18 saves while playing every minute. . . . Former Kicker Ben Hunter scored for the Monarchs in a 2-0 victory over Harrisburg and banged a shot off the post in last weekend's match against his old team. . . . Richmond midfielder Gerson dos Santos likely will miss tonight's match with a thigh injury. . . . Each of the past three games between these clubs has produced a 1-0 score. The Kickers and Real Maryland split two regular-season meetings in 2009. -- Vic Dorr Jr.
