Richmond, L.A. draw blanks

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Ryan Jones stopped Peter Byers on a breakaway in the second half Sunday night to earn the Richmond Kickers a 0-0 draw in their USL PRO game with the Los Angeles Blues.

With the Kickers eyeing their American Division semifinal game Friday night at the Wilmington Hammerheads, Jones deputized for the rested Ronnie Pascale at goalkeeper.

Richmond had two chances to win very late in the match. In the 86th minute, David Bulow was all alone from 5 yards out but hit his shot over the bar. Soon after, Blues goalkeeper Oscar Dautt made a diving save of Ross MacKenzie's shot.
