Boys: JOHN MARSHALL 78, HENRICO 69
Jestin Lewis scored 25 points and was named the tournament's most valuable player as John Marshall defeated Henrico and won the TDIT. Willie Mangum added 25 points, and Marshall Mundin scored 12 points and added 20 rebounds.
Jay Allen led the Warriors with 19 points. Timmy Jones had 15, and Evan Thorpe had 14 points and 15 rebounds.
Boys: THOMAS JEFFERSON 69, COSBY 64
Rashawn Alexander scored 23 points, Garrick Ellis added 14, and Thomas Jefferson claimed third place in the Times-Dispatch Invitational Tournament by beating Cosby on Monday at the Siegel Center.
Troy Caupain (33) and Evan Orzolek (25) had 58 of Cosby’s 64 points. Orzolek had seven 3-pointers, tying the tournament record set last year by Highland Springs’ Ta’shaun Taylor.
Boys: L.C. BIRD 61, HIGHLAND SPRINGS 60 (2 OT)
Bryce Harman scored 15 points as L.C. Bird defeated Highland Springs 61-60 in double overtime at the Siegel Center today in the Times-Dispatch Invitational.
Jevonte Reddick scored 13 points for the Skyhawks.
Reggie Dennis scored 30 to pace the Springers, including nine of nine from the foul line.
Boys: MEADOWBROOK 58, ST. CHRISTOPHER’S 57
Ahmed Fofana scored 22 and Brandon Cheeks scored 13 as Meadowbrook defeated St. Christopher’s 58-57.
Jaquante Saunders was third in scoring for the Monarchs with nine points.
Jermaine Johnson scored 28 to lead the Saints.
Girls: MONACAN 63, VARINA 48
Gabby Harris scored 15 points and was 2 for 2 from the free throw line to lead Monacan over Varina 63-48, good for a third place finish on Monday in the Times-Dispatch Invitational Tournament.
Raven Williams was the second leading scorer for the Chiefs with 14 points, including two three-point shots.
Mia Fitts was the leading scorer for the Blue Devils with 13 points.
Girls: MEADOWBROOK 54, LEE-DAVIS 34
Ashley Pegram scored 20 points, including two three-pointers as Meadowbrook girls defeated Lee-Davis.
Sycoya Dorsey was second for the Monarchs with 19 points and Shamika Finch had six points.
Caroline Newman led the Confederates had 15 points and was five of 11 from the free throw line.
Girls: HERMITAGE 63, MILLS GODWIN 50
Maya Walton scored 15 of her game-high 24 points in the first half to lead Hermitage past Mills Godwin.
Kiana Brown added 13 points for the Panthers and Shannan Thompson finished with 10 points.
Caitie Geoghegan paced the Eagles with 12 points and 12 rebounds, and Connie Henshaw had a team-high 19 points.
