»  Comments | Post a Comment

Matt Delicate and Edson Elcock netted goals in the first half to give the Richmond Kickers a 2-0 victory over FC New York at Belson Stadium on Sunday.

It was the first win for Richmond (7-2-2) since its May 7 game against Wilmington and moved the Kickers into second place in the USL PRO American Division.

Delicate scored his seventh goal of the season, one behind league-leading scorer Max Griffin of Orlando City.

It was Elcock's second goal this season as the Kickers broke a four-game losing streak.

Richmond will play host to Dayton at City Stadium on Tuesday.
