»  Comments | Post a Comment

Chris Wondolowski scored his second goal of the game on a header in the 83rd minute to give the San Jose Earthquakes a 2-1 victory over the New England Revolution on Saturday night.

New England midfielder Benny Feilhaber finished off a flurry of shots to tie it in the 55th minute, but Wondolowski scored his 14th goal of the season at the left post, finishing off two nice crossing passes from Sam Cronin and Simon Dawkins in front of 9,111 fans at Gillette Stadium.

San Jose (7-11-14) ended a nine-match (0-5-4) winless streak on the road and won for the second time in its last 19 games (2-7-10). New England (5-15-12) is 1-6-5 in its last 12 and 1-5-4 in its last 10 home games.
