Ryan Pearson scored 15 of his 17 points in the second half and George Mason held on for a 54-50 Colonial Athletic Association win Saturday against Old Dominion.
Pearson added 10 rebounds for the Patriots (19-6, 11-2 CAA).
Reserve Trian Iliadis led Old Dominion (15-10, 10-3) with 13 points.
Kent Bazemore scored 11 points for the Monarchs.
UNC WILMINGTON 81, WILLIAM AND MARY 68: Adam Smith led five players in double figures with 25 points and UNC Wilmington beat William and Mary.
Trevor Deloach had 16 for the Seahawks.
Wilmington (9-14, 5-8 CAA) trailed 13-10 before Deloach made two consecutive 3-pointers, sparking a 22-2 run to help the Seahawks take a 32-15 lead.
The Tribe (4-21, 2-11) cut the lead to nine, 36-27, but could not get closer.
Quinn McDowell scored 17 for the Tribe.
DELAWARE 85, JAMES MADISON 80: Jamelle Hagins scored a career-high 23 points while grabbing 18 rebounds, and sophomore guard Devon Saddler added 22 points as Delaware defeated James Madison.
Hagins' double-double was his 12th this season for the Blue Hens (11-12, 7-6 CAA), and his rebound total was one shy of his career best.
Humpty Hitchens scored 17 and Devon Moore 16 for Madison.
VMI 86, WINTHROP 79: Keith Gabriel scored 32 points, knocking down 15 free throws, and Virginia Military Institute rallied to beat Winthrop.
Stan Okoye finished with 18 points for the Keydets, who shot 49 percent (24 of 49) from the floor.
VMI (12-11, 7-6 Big South) led throughout the first half and took a 47-36 lead into halftime. George Valentine had 16 points and 11 boards for Winthrop (10-15, 7-7).
UNC ASHEVILLE 65, LIBERTY 51: Jaron Lane scored 15 points, leading UNC Asheville over Liberty.
Matt Dickey added 13 points for the Bulldogs (18-7, 13-1 Big South).
John Caleb Sanders also finished with 15 points to lead the Flames (9-16, 4-9).
VIRGINIA UNION 69, ELIZABETH CITY STATE 63: Damion Harris grabbed 20 rebounds and the Panthers won the battle of the boards 48-27 to grab their seventh win in eight games. VUU led by as many as 14 before the Vikings rallied to lead with less than four minutes left. Elijah Johnson's 3-pointer with 3:51 left put the Panthers ahead for good.
