Top-ranked Hermitage opened its season with a 27-0 victory over visiting Lee-Davis on Friday night.
Derrick Green had 27 carries for 132 yards and three touchdowns for the Panthers. Triston Wright had six catches for 64 yards.
The Panthers were led on defense by D'Vonta Derricott's eight tackles.

Wood carried 14 times for 139 yards and a 50-yard TD and added 109 yards through the air with two more scores. Maurice Canady (53 yards rushing, 86 yards receiving) had a receiving and rushing score for the Blue Devils (1-0).
Darius Hawkins had 12 carries for 48 yards and two TDs and four catches for 44 yards to lead the Generals (1-1). Quarterback Bryan Finney had 186 yards passing.

Clover Hill's defense was stout, allowing only 179 yards. Holland Fisher recorded five solo tackles, five assisted tackles and a sack.
Daquon Chapman had 58 yards on the ground for the Royals.

Corey Ambers scored from 8 yards out, and Abbey Coleman nailed the extra point in the fourth quarter to help the Chiefs edge the Eagles.
Jeremy Sternlicht scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to put Mills Godwin ahead 26-20. Sternlicht finished with 185 yards rushing.
Monacan entered the fourth quarter leading 20-13 thanks to Ambers' 2-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Ambers also threw a scoring pass to Nate Tansey (six receptions, 66 yards) and finished with 93 yards passing. Troy Overby led the Chiefs with 163 yards rushing on 11 carries.

Austin Cundiff ran for 146 yards, and Trey McMorris scored two touchdowns to give the Rapids a victory over the Rebels in each team's season opener.
McMorris put the Rapids on top with a 3-yard plunge in the second quarter. Kevin Cabas scored from 2 yards out to put Douglas Freeman ahead 7-6 entering the fourth quarter. Cabas finished with 106 yards on 25 carries.
McMorris rumbled in from 30 yards for the go-ahead score for James River, and Sam Hunt sneaked in from 1 yard out with 5:11 to seal the game. Hunt finished 7 of 13 passing for 109 yards.
Wes Mason recorded six tackles and two sacks to lead a Rapids defense that held the Rebels to 149 yards.

The Tigers were down 21-15 at half, but scored two TDs in two minutes without running an offensive play. Conrad Broadus returned the opening kickoff of the second half for a 76-yard touchdown. He was followed by teammate Marcus Moore, who returned an interception 42 yards for a score on Glen Allen's first offensive play of the second half.
Moore had two interceptions on the night.

Wilton Speight threw for a touchdown, ran for another and had 145 yards of total offense to back up Smalkowski's effort. Joseph Edwards caught three of Speight's passes for 70 yards and a touchdown.
Bryan Black led Trinity Episcopal (0-2) with 114 yards and two scores on 14 carries. Torey Burston kept the Titans in it in the first half with a 69-yard scoring romp and finished with 156 yards. It was the first time Trinity had two runners rush for more than 100 yards in the same game, and its 324 yards on the ground were the most since the school reinstated the program in 2005.
