The National Weather Service says the Richmond area's work week will get off to a sunny start.
Today's forecast calls for sunny skies, light winds and an afternoon high near 87 degrees.
Tuesday is to be sunny with a high near 84 degrees and Wednesday is to be sunny with a high near 86.
Thursday is to bring a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 p.m. with an afternoon high near 91 degrees.
Rounding out the work week, Friday's forecast calls for a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with a high near 88.
