The National Weather Service has an unusually warm treat for the Richmond area to welcome in the month of February.
Today's forecast calls for a 20 percent chance of morning showers, then partly sunny skies, relatively light winds and an afternoon high near 71 degrees.
Thursday should bring a 50 percent chance of showers before noon, giving way to mostly sunny skies and an afternoon high near 60 degrees.
Rounding out the work week, Friday should be mostly sunny with a high near 55.
