The National Weather Service says a breezy, wet day is likely in the offing for the Richmond area.
Today's forecast calls for blustery conditions, an 80 percent chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm before noon, then scattered showers between noon and 3 p.m., with the temperature rising to near 68 by 11 a.m., then falling to about 57 for the rest of the day.
The rain should move out tonight, giving way to mostly sunny skies Saturday and a high near 61 degrees.
Rounding out the weekend, Sunday should be mostly sunny with a high near 51 degrees.
